“At some point in life, whether it is with our self or someone else, our struggle in relationships will be too much to bear on our own. It is my passion to work with those who have found themselves needing thoughtful, caring, and skilled direction in such times.” - Jason Brown
Jason is an experienced therapist who has spent over 15 years in practice with couples and adults. He spent three years working in an in-patient drug and alcohol recovery program in St. Louis, studying addiction, relapse and recovery. Jason moved to Charlottesville in 2010 to train under Dr. Steve Greenstein, a nationally recognized trainer in Structural Family Therapy, working with at-risk families and individuals struggling with family of origin issues. Jason transitioned to working exclusively at New City Counseling where he became interested in how childhood trauma affects the ways in which people learn to grow and heal in their adult relationships and marriages.
Jason is married to a Nashville native and they have five children. They are outdoors as much as possible and love playing all sorts of games and reading aloud to each other. Jason has a life-long interest in landscape design and architecture, loves to play any sport, and is an avid fan of all types of music.
